Our Data Center Installations:

As premier low voltage cabling contractors, when working in data center installation environments we take pride in being responsible for designing, installing, terminating, testing, and certifying the structured cabling infrastructure that supports all data, voice, and network communications within the facility. The work typically begins with reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, coordinating with the general contractor, electrical teams, HVAC specialists, and the data center owner(s) to ensure pathways, conduits, and cable trays are properly planned and avoid conflicts with other trades during the data center installation.

Pathways, Cable Routing & Management

Once on site, we install supporting infrastructure such as overhead ladder racks, cable trays, J-hooks, fiber raceways (innerduct), and underfloor pathways when raised floors are present. We pull and route both copper (typically Cat6, Cat6A, or Cat8) and fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode, often OM3, OM4, or OS2) between Meet-Me Rooms (MMRs), Main Distribution Areas (MDAs), Intermediate Distribution Areas (IDAs), Horizontal Distribution Areas (HDAs), and individual server cabinets or zone distribution areas. We appreciate cable management and know it is mission critical during any data center installation — bundles must be properly dressed, bend radius maintained, and separation kept from high-voltage power runs to avoid EMI.

Terminations & Standards Compliance

Terminations include punching down copper to patch panels using 110 or keystone jacks, fusion splicing or mechanical splicing fiber, installing LC, SC, or MPO/MTP connectors, and dressing patch panels in racks. We also install grounding and bonding per TIA-607 and ensure all cabling complies with TIA-942 data center standards, BICSI best practices, and applicable NEC codes (particularly Article 800 for low voltage and plenum/riser ratings).

Testing, Certification & Documentation

After installation, we ensure every cable is tested and certified using tools like Fluke DSX testers for copper and OTDRs or optical loss test sets (OLTS) for fiber. Test results are documented and delivered to the client along with as-built drawings, labeling schemes (typically per TIA-606-B), and warranty registration through manufacturers like Panduit, CommScope, Leviton, or Corning.

Additional Data Center Services

Additional data center installation responsibilities often include overhead paging, access control wiring, security cameras (IP CCTV), DAS systems, and intercoms. Throughout the project, we always maintain strict cleanliness, follow ESD protocols inside live data halls, and coordinate closely with commissioning teams to support staged energization and equipment cutover.
